Shahapur a small village situated in the north of Karnataka suffers from elephantiasis for a decade and more. The problem is so deep-rooted that people have shunned the idea of consulting a doctor. With more than 525 cases in the taluk, people suffer from all kind of social and economical issue. From 15 years doctors are conducting a Mass Drug Administration program it seems to be failing as people are refraining themselves from taking the medicine. This is the story of a battle which Shahapur people fight constantly.
