Sources confirm few players were honey-trapped by the use of models, in the ongoing Central Crime Branch investigation into Karnataka Premier League spot-fixing. CCB asks Karnataka Sport Cricket Association to provide details of all the IPL matches which were held in during the past one year.

On 7th Nov, Central Crime Branch had arrested 2 high profile cricketers, CM Gautham and Akbar Razi for all allegedly spot-fixing the KPL 2019 finals. Sources said that CM Gautham was paid Rs.20 Lakh for batting slow.

Central Crime Branch had issued notices to the owners and managers of all KPL franchisees and also Karnataka Sports Cricket Association. The notice to the KSCA included 18 questions to be answered by the association. The investigation is headed by the joint commissioner of police, Sandeep Patil (crime).
