In a major political gain for the Congress, former MLC and JD(S) leader C R Manohar joins the party. He resigned as the member of legislative council on Monday, 29 November. Other leaders who joined congress include A N Nagaraju and K V Amarnath from JD(S) and Gopikrishna from BJP. C.Nanjappa, the president of Karnataka state madiwala community also joined the party today, ahead of the local body elections.
