Bangalore: Due to the intense awareness programs, Karnataka has witnessed a 50 percent decline in the number of HIV/AIDS patients. Several activities are being conducted by the Karnataka State Aids Prevention Society to educate and make people aware of the disease. The state is also providing free condoms and treatments to the patients at various Anti-Retroviral Treatment Centres. The government is targeting to eradicate the disease from the country by 2030.
