Udupi-Chikmangaluru BJP MP Allocates Budget for the Constituency

Bharatiya Janata Party is all set to campaign for 2019 General Elections.  In Karnataka, BJP MP of Udupi-Chickmangaluru and its workers criticized the opposition based on Caste, Tradition and Religion.

Further, Shobha Karandlaje, BJP MP of the Udupi-Chickmangaluru Constituency announced the allocation of budget from the Central Government to the district constituency. It majorly focused on development of Highway and on Tourism.

A proposal of Rs. 5,648 Cr has been submitted to the Central Government for the development of Mangalore-Chitradurga national highway. Rs. 8 Cr has been released to prepare a Detailed Project Report; this Project is expected to bring down the travel time between the cities to just three hours. Rs. 25 Cr has been released for the coastal tourism development under ‘Swadesh Darshan’. The total allocation obtained from the Central Government for Udupi is Rs. 1, 817.26 Cr and Rs. 1,883.55 Cr for Chickmangaluru district and a total of Rs. 3,700.81 Cr for Udupi-Chickmangaluru Lok Sabha Constituency. Proposal to set up a ‘Spice park’ in Chikmangalur has been approved by Central Commerce Ministry. Rs. 132 Cr for Udupi town and Rs. 136 Cr for Chikmangalur town have been sanctioned under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) Scheme. The AMRUT scheme covers all the cities and towns which possess more than one lakh population according to the 2011 Census.
